Farrell Lake Outpost Camp:

Walleye: Farrell Lake has awesome Walleye fishing. You have the Little Current River and Double Creek running into the lake. These two streams supply the lake with freshwater, food and gives the Walleyes perfect conditions for spawning.

The Walleye population is high in this lake. There are spots on this lake where it seems you are catching one Walleye after another. The Walleyes average around 2 pounds but because it's a major spawning area, there are lots of big trophy females caught. Guests catch many Walleyes in the 24-inch to 32-inch range, which depending on how fat they are, can reach 10 pounds or more. This is a lake where if you fish hard and long throughout the day, you can catch 100 Walleyes in a day. Just remember you are on vacation so try to relax.

Northern Pike: Farrell Lake also has outstanding Northern Pike fishing. It seems in the last few years this is the one lake that constantly produces good numbers of Trophy Pike over 40 inches. It's probably because they have an endless banquet of Walleyes to feed on.

Farrell Lake also has many weedy bays and river current, which hold big Pike. It's possible that the amount of big trophy Northerns in Farrell is no greater than our other lakes; they are just easier to find.

Brook Trout: There are Brook Trout in the creeks that run into the lake. You have to hunt them down by fishing various rapids. Spring and early summer are the best times. In the summer, the water gets warm and the Brook Trout take off up stream to find cold springs. The Brook Trout fishing is nothing compared to our camps on the Ogoki River. You can still get into some nice brookies if you look for them.

Cabin: The cabin is clean and sleeps 2 to 6 people comfortably. The cabin is close to shore and has a beautiful view of the lake. The cabin is equipped with propane stove, propane refrigerator, propane lights or electric lights (small generator), dishes, pots, pans, plates, cups, cutlery, beds, inside table and chairs, gas for the boats and a BBQ.

Please Note: The cabin is much bigger than it looks in this photo. This is just the entrance. Most of the cabin is hidden by the trees.
